February 21st marked the one year anniversary of the day I first created the Godot project file for Pouchie The Cat. What started as a small college project where I was self-teaching myself game development and coding has now evolved into a full passion project in the making. What started as a one-level game with only one enemy, and the only collectible being coins has now turned into a game with cutscenes, two worlds, 12 levels, one boss, and three different collectible items. And it's only going to grow bigger as time goes on.

It hasn't been an easy journey, especially for a mostly solo project, where the only outside help has been suggested by friends, and the occasional players, but I feel like I've accomplished a lot under the circumstances.

So what's the plan going forward?

As of right now, I feel like I need a small break, as I was nearly pulling my hair out trying to make sure nothing was broken before release. But I have already got a plan for World 2's boss, and I intend to work on getting the sprites and battle set up before the next big release, which will be Alpha 0.5, when ALL of World 2's built and complete. I also have plans to have Grump The Pug show up in the next update as well. The plan is to have him run away whenever you defeat the boss and open the door to the next world. At least, until his eventual boss battle.

In the meantime, I also want to put energy into my live streams on Twitch. You can get updates on both my streams, and game updates by following my discord! And feel free to interact and make friends in the discord: https://discord.gg/Cxfzm55RgP

Also, since this has been a solo project that I've been pouring a lot of energy into, donations to either my linktree or my StreamElements to support me, and by extension, the project would be greatly appreciated:
